new work 2022
At the start of the year I began experiments with paint, print and collage on canvas. I intend to integrate these techniques with porcelain when time allows, in between teaching my beginners and returners pottery classes.
I'm also developing a range of whisky sets- cups and water jugs to retail in local tourist sites ( not sponsored brand placement!).....
...as well as creating new stoneware and porcelain glazes. This one is an eggshell smooth matt glaze with a very pale lilac tinge, enhanced round the rim with a more reflective pale green edged in blue. Another example is a pale yellow matt layered with a shimmering green, reminding me of Orkney's Merrie Dancers
( Northern Lights).
